About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, high-performing Business Development Player/Coach to lead our expansion into the Mid-Market and Enterprise sectors. This is a critical leadership-track role for a professional who can navigate complex sales cycles while pioneering the use of AI-driven methodologies to increase efficiency and personalization and operating in a remote first environment.

You will be responsible for penetrating high-value enterprise targets (i.e., Wealth Management firms, Banks, Wirehouses, Independent Broker Dealers, etc.) while simultaneously coaching a team of BDRs to master the art of enterprise prospecting.

Compensation This position offers a base salary range of $60k -$100K based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Orchestrate a sophisticated Account-Based Marketing (ABM) framework to penetrate high-value Mid-Market and Enterprise organizations. You will map complex buying committees and execute multi-threaded campaigns that align FMG’s solutions with specific corporate objectives.
  • Utilize AI writing and research tools to generate highly personalized outreach for C-level executives at scale, moving beyond generic templates.
  • Lead discovery calls focused on enterprise ROI, digital transformation, and how FMG solves the marketing and compliance hurdles unique to large financial firms.
  • Expertly navigate and maintain our core internal tech stack; including HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and WeConnect, while testing emerging AI tools to help automate administrative tasks and manual research.
  • Maintain a personal quota of qualified enterprise opportunities while testing and validating new AI-driven sales outreach tactics.
  • Develop opportunities through prospecting, email promotions & follow up on leads.
  • Access to a private & secure workspace, free from distractions
  • Accessible during the assigned work schedule for regular duties and responsibilities as outlined by the supervisor
  • An internet connection with speeds of 5 Megabits down / 3 Megabits up (5mbps/3mbps)

Leadership & Coaching

  • Build, train, and mentor a team of BDR’s (1-2 to start which will grow over time) focused on advanced prospecting techniques, using AI tools for collaboration. 
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and coaching sessions with the team, focusing on AI-assisted research and multi-channel prospecting techniques.
  • Monitor team KPIs (conversion rates and meeting quality) to provide actionable feedback and improve pipeline velocity.
  • Build and grow team over team as business expands with vision to move into a full time BDR leadership position as enterprise sales expand. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Enterprise Sales Experience: 3+ years in Business Development or Sales, with a proven track record of prospecting into Mid-Market or Enterprise organizations (SaaS preferred).
  • Deep understanding of the financial services landscape, including the regulatory hurdles faced by enterprise-level firms.
  • Exceptional ability to articulate a complex value proposition to C-Suite and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-driven sales engagement tools, or automated research agents to enhance sales performance.
  • A continuous learner who stays updated on the latest AI sales trends and can translate them into practical team workflows.
  • Prior experience as a Team Lead or Senior BDR with a passion for mentoring others in modern, tech-enabled sales techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Self starter and resourceful individual who can drive results in a virtual team environment.
